I don't know why but I always do my best thinking while in the shower. Lately the topic of conversation in my head is an ideal relationship. What exactly is an ideal relationship? I know this differs from person to person but what does this mean to me? I want to be realistic in my desires... I know that there is no one out there who will ever truly understand me completely or know how it is to live in my shoes. So often, it seems that people talk about this great love and the ability to completely understand a person. Is this really possible or just something in the movies? People are surprising. People do unexpected things. Will I ever know anyone as well as I know myself (or I think I know myself)? Is it even a necessary part of love?
I'm not struggling to understand love. I don't think it's something that could be understood... but it's interesting to analyze the social and psychological parts of it.
Love.... is a word that is meant to describe something that is indescribable. Can you really tell someone what "love" is? You can tell someone acts of love.... the neurochemical responses of love.... but can you really ever describe it completely?

Howdy kiddo,
First, I know I'm totally a creeper. XD To be honest, you don't know me anyways--and I don't really know you (I have only this blog). But, to be really honest, does that matter? The difference between a complete stranger and a casual friend is just a few more words. "There is no one out there who will ever truly understand me completely," right? In the end, we are simply our thoughts and the words we choose to express them--regardless of social labels--and nothing more. So... this is a bit one-sided, but it's still nice to meet you, friend. :)
To me, love isn't understanding. Love is giving. Love, like fairytale love and happily ever after, is passion--like the ocean to a surfer, the canvas to an artist, or the sunset to a dreamer. It's this idea of letting go your walls, just waiting. It's a leap of faith, and free-falling forever, and it goes on, and on, and on... and you're okay. What love is not: unconditional happiness, romance, security, sappiness and pink hearts and matching outfits every day. Love is being afraid all the time and yet... at peace. I think the Mosses from No Country for Old Men knew what love is.
I'm sorry to randomly post, but a whim is a whim. :P Cheers.
